Where ministry starts...
Over 85% of our ministry participants come via community outreach. It provides a an environment where people can belong long before they ever believe.
Through our evangelism, English clubs, urban dance academy and workshops, most of those we impact become family through community outreach. We meet people where they are, welcome them with open arms, and walk with them on their journey of transformation. Good will creates opportunity to share the good news.
Education in Costa Rica is actually one of the best in Latin America, but the drop out rate of young people in high school is generally for economic reasons. This puts them at risk to be lured into any number of dangerous industries, including the legal and extremely popular one of "sex tourism".
Offering tutoring to young students as a preventative measure and other educational opportunities to professionals as a way to expand their toolkit gives individuals opportunities and an edge over others to get better jobs and earn an dignified income to support their families.
House of Raw Urban Dance & Arts Academy
Juvenile violence, drug use, suicide, pregnancy, and gang membership is real among those ages 12-17. Our preventative ministry approach aims to reach these youth before they have a chance to make a choice that will follow them the rest of their lives. Giving them a healthy space to feel loved, a part of family, and invested into, allows them to open their hearts to the Gospel in the most genuine and authentic ways. Often, our programs are the first time they have been told they "CAN" do something and have something to offer to others. We strive to Reshape Identity through this ministry.
Community Events are focused on taking Til He Returns and our ambassadors OUT into the communities, working with other organizations such as orphanages, other community centers, schools, prisons, local churches in at risk communities and more. Mission teams increase our impact and encourage our team of ambassadors along the way. Our focus of outreach is evangelism and discipleship helping us to Reshape Identity & Restore Dignity.
