In July, Lynn Wheeler brought a team down of 28 people from three different churches. It was amazing to see how they worked together to encourage so many people. Among the lives that were touched were the people at the church in a slum in La Guacima. In June we visited this church with a team but had to keep the kids contained in the back half of the church because the church could only afford to lay tile on one half of the floor.

As we sat in a circle, all 15 of us on a dirty floor with our backs leaning against the wall in a dimly lit room, we listened to Micah’s heart for this new ministry center. He shared how this would be a place for all of us and that more than a Bible Study, it would serve as a home for us as a family to be with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
